    Fuel injectors

I'm looking into getting cheap power out of my standard IS200 so I'm considering looking for bigger injectors, but to do this I've got a few questions to ask.

    1) What is the capacity of the standard injectors?

    2) I know the ECU is self learning, so will it adjust to compensate for the extra flow of fuel like it does when you install a high flow air filter?

    Thanks in advance. Andy

You've got the wrong car for cheap power unfortunately.

The ecu will compensate a bit but no where near enough.

    How much power you after?

Would injectors on there own give you a noticeable difference?

That's all I needed to know really. I'm not after a specific number just a bit more omph. As my car has done 170,000 miles I thought maybe the injectors could do with being changed and if they did then is it possible to go with bigger ones to get a bit more power.

Probably not. I was thinking to change the injectors because they have done 170,000 miles and go for bigger ones because every little helps. But it seems the ecu wont alter the air fuel ratio enough to do it.

Getting my injectors cleaned at £190k definitely made a noticeable difference to how mine idles and responds. It's not faster but it's a cleaner quicker smoother response for sure.

i was going to suggest the same thing! its not expensive to get them cleaned and can help with any sluggishness

12 holes instead of 6 from what I remember or something like that. Provides a finer and more efficient spray. I'm going purely off memory form something I read months ago.

The injectors I was looking at was the 1nz-fe with 12 holes compared to the 4 hole 1g-fe
