Positioning of a red led lamp.

You know the Golf Plus has the round red led backlights?
We have one of them from a breakers yard. We need to find a place to position it, a good place. Not made to look chavvy or anything. I had the idea of having it by the lexus front badge shining inwards. But my dad said it would be illegal as only lights allowed on front are white or headlamp colour. Anyone have ideas where to place this. It is in the passenger footwell at the moment.

When i have access to the lexus ill try and put a pic up.

i said to my dad have it on the door switch so when a door is opened the light comes on, so basically the same idea.

Brighter boot light??

So when you open the boot at night the inside will glow bright red and other cars can see you from behind if your in the boot

Thats a very good idea bandit, give it a try maybe, and because the leds are quite bright and there about 15 of them, the red may shine outside.

If its the light i'm thinking it is, its quite bright mate so should light up quite a bit

I'm suprised you didn't suggest making them pulse and mounting them on the bonnet though ...
