JAE Show & Shine

At JAE there's a "Show & Shine" competition. There are usually categories/winners for each car manufacturer, e.g. Subaru, Mitsubishi, Toyota etc. Lexus is usually put into the Toyota category.

Anyone fancy entering ?

This event will be held on the Saturday.

For Show & Shine, each club has been allocated a set number of places (maximum).

If you want to enter, then what you need to do is to go to the Admin tent on the site on either the Friday or the Saturday, and pick up an entry voucher. The Admin tent will be a lot busier on the Saturday, so please go on Friday if you're down there then and planning to enter.

I entered last year, under the Toyota class as there was no Lexus class. I must have came last or there abouts but did it to try and get them to have a lexus class this year. If they have a lexus class this year i may enter, if they do it under the toyota class im not going to bother!

I can't honestly imagine them having a separate Lexus category this year, I wouldn't think there would be enough entrants to justify it. Though I'd be very happy to be wrong !

Although I have now owned my Lex over a year and never washed it yet, thats what garages are for when they service your car!!

Great news folks. I'm very pleased to be able to say that my guess was wrong, and Lexus *do* have their own category in Show 'n' Shine this year !

The club will have a limited number of entries (based on number of tickets we've bought), we will find out when we get down there. It'll almost certainly be either 2, 3 or 4.

If you want to enter, then please say so in this thread. If we're over-subscribed with entries, then the club will have to decide who gets entered (possibly first-come first served, but I can't personally say for sure). It would be a nice "problem" to have, i.e. having "too many" people that want to enter !

Come on guys, someone's got a great chance of winning the Lexus Show 'n' Shine !

Also, those with other Jap cars can potentially enter their own categories too (Nissan, Mazda, Honda, Toyota etc).

It would be great if we have more people entering than we have entry places for the club, then the club will have to actually decide who can enter.

We need as many Lexus as permitted by each club so that we can continue this each year.

Mr Mole your in pole postion and yes mate your car will be good enough.

Lexusboy will be on the stand by list if other members do not come forward.

Cleaning products including a polisher will be avaliable for anyone entering the S/S

It would be good if anyone entering is help early Saturday morning by other members as we have a 9.30 slot time.

Lets see if we can win some trophys for our club members.
